The Gouves Beach belongs to the lively sea resort of Kato Gouves (or Gouves) which is popular for its good touristic background and beautiful sandy beaches. The coastline along the big holiday resort of Kato Gouves-Analipsi-Anissaras is with a few exceptions made of long sandy beach called the “Cretan Riviera”.

The Gouves Beach is long and covered by golden sand. It has a gradual entry into the sea, what is one of the reasons why the shallow water became a sought-after place among the families with small children as well as non-swimmers. Only during the period of the so-called Meltemi Winds bigger waves can appear on the beach.

Gouves Beach is fully equipped and offers its visitors enough sunbeds with umbrellas whereas the beach bars and the close traditional Greek tavernas are ensuring the refreshment. Also, various water sport possibilities are not missing on the beach.

Except the long and lively Gouves Beach you can find also smaller beaches or rocky surfaces going into the sea where you will have more privacy. If you would go west along the beach you would arrive at the nice beaches of Gournes and Kokkini Hani, in the east, the beautiful sandy beach of Analipsi is lying.
