Ophion
Ophioneus
In Greek mythology, Ophion (also known as Ophioneus) is a god who ruled the world together with Eurynome (daughter of Okenaos). They were then both overthrown by Kronos and Rhea in Tartarus.
Ophion means "serpent" in translation. The first attested mention of it comes from the Heptamychia, whose author was Ferekýda of Syr. According to the Pelasgian creation myth, all Pelasgians were born from the teeth of Ophion.
