Greek writers
Hagias of Troizen was a poet. He was born in the 7th century BC (Troezen) and died in the 7th century BC.
Hagias is one of the early Greek epic poets.
He is credited with a work called "The Returns", which is composed in Dactylic hexameter. The work itself follows the Trojan War cycle of the poet Arctinus of Miletus. It tells the story of the Greeks' return home after the conquest of Troy and their hardships along the way. Only a few lines of the work survive. What the work is about is known through a summary of ancient Greek epics in the 5th century AD Krestomathy.
