Kamari Beach is a quiet, organised beach, equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. However, thanks to its length of almost 5 km, it is not overcrowded and visitors enjoy the ample space it offers them. The surface of the beach is a mixture of sand and pebbles. If you want a more sandy beach, go to the left, eastern part of the beach, towards Kefalos and Agios Stefanos beaches. The right side of the beach, on the other hand, is considered more beautiful, thanks to the rocks that tower above it.

Kamari Beach has a gradual entrance to the sea, making it popular with families with children. In some places, however, the steep pebbly shores can be a surprise, making it more difficult to leave the sea. The entire Kefalos peninsula is marked by volcanic activity, which is reflected in the character of the landscape. The beach area is therefore rather rocky and there is less vegetation.

The Kamari area boasts crystal clear water, but is also said to be the coldest on Kos. On hot summer days it can be a pleasant refreshment. The water in Kamari is calm and suitable for swimming and snorkelling.
