Kardamena Beach is more than 4 km long, making it one of the longest beaches on the island of Kos. Its entire length up to the harbour is covered with fine light sand, with pebbles in places. The entrance to the sea in this area is gradual and during the summer season the water temperature reaches very pleasant values, ideal for families with children and less experienced swimmers.

Kardamena beach is located in the immediate vicinity of the holiday resort of the same name, Kardamena. It is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, showers, changing cabins and visitors can also take advantage of the water sports on offer, such as water skiing, pedal boating or windsurfing. Thanks to the crystal clear water, swimming in the sea is a real treat and snorkelling is also one of the visitors' favourite activities. Recreational fishing is also allowed in the area. There are several tavernas, food stalls and cafes.

The island of Nissyros, which was formed by volcanic activity, can be seen from the beach. The islet is accessible, you can reach it by boat, walk around it and even descend into the interior of the extinct volcano. There is also a boat that leaves the beach every day to the smaller thermal springs of Agia Irini, located in the Kardamena area and popular for their healing properties.

Due to its length and good accessibility, Kardamena Beach is one of the most visited beaches on the island. It offers a combination of comfort, tourist facilities and a beautiful environment suitable for all ages.
