Lambi Beach - Kos Island

Lampi Beach, Nea Alikarnassos

Lambi

The popular sandy to sand and shingle beach of Lambi is located in the eastern part of the Greek island of Kos. Lambi Beach is located on the northern edge of the capital of Kos and stretches all the way to the northern tip of the island.

Initially a bit rocky, but otherwise beautifully sandy to sandy-pebble beach Lambi (or also Lampi Beach) stretches for more than 1 km from the main town of Kos to the northern tip of the island. Lambi Beach is closely adjacent to the resort of the same name. The sea here is beautifully clear and the entrance to the water is rather gradual.

Lambi Beach is a popular and well-organized beach that offers tourists all the necessary amenities during the summer months. There are sun loungers and umbrellas, sanitary facilities including showers, and several restaurants and cafes with beautiful sea views in close proximity to the beach.

A cycle path runs the length of the beach, making the area suitable for cycling, and there are also some water sports on the beach, such as the popular water skiing and paragliding.

Nowadays, the beach is also known as Nea Alikarnassos. The whole area has seen quite a lot of development recently, with new hotels and other accommodation facilities springing up. However, Lambi is still a rather quiet beach, ideal for those who want to spend their day relaxing undisturbed. The beach is located within a short walking distance from the main town of Kos and is therefore often used by tourists from Kos town.
