The popular sandy beach of Limnaria is located in the northern part of the Greek island of Kos, about 15 km west of the capital. Limnaria forms part of the larger Marmari beach and is particularly popular with water sports enthusiasts.
Limnaria Beach is a part of the long sandy beach of Marmari. Limnaria Beach can be found at the eastern end of the beach, where the tourist traffic is decreasing and the opportunities for water adrenaline fun are increasing. Limnaria Beach is located on the northern, windward side of Kos, which is especially popular with windsurfers, kitesurfers and other water sports enthusiasts. There are several rental shops and schools where you can rent equipment or pay for a lesson with an instructor.
Limnaria beach is covered with beautiful fine sand, which is very comfortable to relax on, but visitors can also use the sunbeds and umbrellas and beach showers. There is a beach bar and taverna, and other refreshment options are just a few steps away on Marmari Beach. For longer stays in the area, there are also a variety of accommodation options in the nearby resort of Marmari (from individual apartments to larger hotels).
Quieter coves offering more privacy can also be found close to the beach. Limnaria Beach is easily accessible, situated close to the tourist resort of Marmari and about 5 km from the picturesque village of Pyli.
