Limnionas is a quiet and secluded beach with golden sand, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the Greek sun. The sea, with its clean and calm surface, attracts visitors for swimming and snorkelling. Limnionas beach is hidden in a small cove, which is partly natural and partly artificially created by a stone embankment. The sea in the bay is thus usually without large waves.

The bay has a jetty where mostly smaller fishing boats are moored. Thanks to the fishermen, fresh fish is available here, which is also supplied to the local tavern. In case of bad weather, the bay is a haven for fishing and tourist boats.

Visitors to Limnionas beach can make use of its basic facilities of a few sun loungers and umbrellas, and there is also a nice little tavern above the beach, offering fresh seafood and local specialities. There is also a small car park nearby.

To the west of Limnionas beach, just over a small rocky outcrop, there is another small cove, smaller and more natural, with larger rocks and rocky surroundings. This small bay is very interesting to look at, as the rocks form different shapes, reaching below the sea level and having a variety of colours, even red. The place is therefore very popular for snorkelling and schools of fish can be seen here.

The small bay of Limnionas lies about 5 km north of Kefalos. The beach is easily accessible by road, car or motorbike. Limnionas is known for its picturesque setting and peaceful atmosphere, but it is also one of the most secluded beaches on Kos. It can be found at the opposite end of the island from the main town of Kos, separating them by a distance of about 42 km.
