Psalidi Beach - Kos Island

Paradiso Beach

Psalidi

The long sand and shingle beach of Psalidi lies in the eastern part of the Greek island of Kos, just a few kilometres south of the capital. Psalidi beach is divided into several parts. One of the parts is the so-called Paradiso Beach, a very touristy beach, both for lounging on the beach and especially for sports enthusiasts.

Kos, Psalidi on the map Google maps

Psalidi Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island of Kos, especially due to its location close to the main town of Kos. Psalidi Beach is quite long, stretching along the eastern coast of the island, south of the Kos town harbour to the nearby resort of Psalidi. The part south of the harbour is called Psalidi - Paradiso Beach, and the more distant part of the beach, adjacent to the hotels at Cape Psalidi, is called Psalidi - Ramira Beach.

The surface of Psalidi - Paradiso Beach is mainly covered with pebbles, but there are also parts with fine sand. The water is crystal clear, with a gently sloping entrance to the sea, but this can be complicated by a larger layer of pebbles and stones. For the comfort of visitors, there are sandbag paths into the water, and we can also recommend water shoes.

Psalidi - Paradiso beach is known for its rich amenities and offers tourists a really wide range of services, from sunbeds and umbrellas, to showers and sanitary facilities, to beach bars and tavernas. More active beachgoers can take advantage of several water sports centres. Thanks to its location, Psalidi beach is also popular with surfers, and it is possible to pay for and take a surfing, parasailing or diving lesson. And after a good workout, you can enjoy Greek cuisine and fresh fish in the nearby tavernas. A stroll along the coastal promenade will reveal plenty of shops, restaurants and bars.

Paradiso Beach is located close to the port of Kos Town and is easily accessible by car, bike or on foot. While Paradiso Beach is ideal for those who like a livelier atmosphere, the more remote Ramira Beach appeals more to those looking for peace and quiet. The middle part of Psalidi Beach is unorganised, ideal for romantic walks.

Thanks to its eastern orientation, the long Psalidi beach provides spectacular views of the sea, especially at sunrise.
