The peaceful, organised sand and shingle beach of Katsouni is located on the southeast coast of the Greek island of Rhodes, about 55 km south of the capital city.
Katsouni Beach stretches for about 1 km and is known for its shallow sea and beautiful surrounding landscape. Especially in the evening, the beach attracts artists and photographers, as the rays of the setting sun beautifully illuminate the sand and pebbles on the beach and create interesting scenery in the surrounding nature.
The surface of the beach is mostly a mixture of sand and pebbles, although there are areas of pure sand as well as larger pebbles. Katsouni Beach is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, but it is a bit isolated from the other tourist resorts on the island, so it is one of the quieter ones. You will often see families with children here, who will appreciate the spaciousness of the beach and the gradual entry into the water.
The nearest resort is the seaside resort of Lardos, about 3 km away and the beach can be reached by turning off the road leading from the village of Lardos down south towards Kiotari.
