The long, organised sand and shingle beach of Kremasti is located in the northwestern part of the Greek island of Rhodes, about 10 km southwest of the capital city.
Kremasti Beach forms part of the eponymous holiday resort of Kremasti, which is located in close proximity to Diagoras International Airport and only about 10 km from the capital city of Rhodes. The main advantages of the resort and the beach are the good tourist facilities, the proximity to the airport and the capital city, but at the same time the quiet environment and the uncrowded beach.
Kremasti Beach is located on the windward side of the island and the sea is wilder here, which attracts lovers of various water adrenaline sports, especially wind-surfing. There is also a wind-surfing and kite-surfing school on the beach, but you can also try other water sports.
There are also several nice taverns and beach bars on the wide sandy and pebbly beach, including sunbeds and umbrellas. The facilities here are thus prepared even for those who prefer to relax and read.
The sea is beautifully clean in this area. Pebbles predominate at the entrance to the water and the seabed then drops sharply down, so the beach is not very suitable for children and older tourists. In the summer season, noise from the nearby airport can be a distraction.
