The small, rocky beach of Tasos is located in the northeastern part of the Greek island of Rhodes, about 9 km south of the capital city of Rhodes. Tasos is a quiet beach, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
Tasos Beach is located on the rocky coastline at the northern tip of Rhodes, in a very interesting tourist area, as just a few kilometres away are the popular holiday resort of Koskinou (4 km), the capital city of Rhodes (9 km) and the famous beach of Kalithea with its healing thermal springs (less than 1 km). In contrast to this hustle and bustle, Tasos Beach is a true oasis of tranquillity.
For the most part, the surface of the beach is made up of rocky areas and large rocks rising above sea level, which form small lagoons between them. The water in these lagoons is very shallow and warm and invites children for playing. However, beware of slippery bottoms not only in these lagoons but also when entering the open sea. Water shoes are therefore recommended. On the other hand, snorkelling and diving enthusiasts will be particularly excited by the crystal-clear water, which is rich in underwater life.
Tasos is a unique beach, well equipped and not overcrowded. Sun loungers and umbrellas are scattered variously over the rocks and even the tables and chairs of the nearby restaurant stand in the shallow water. Even while eating and relaxing, you will be in close contact with the sea and if you put your feet in the water, you will be gently tickled by the small fish that live here in schools.
Tasos Beach is very similar in type to the neighbouring beaches of Nikolas and Oasis. We also recommend taking a stroll from here (about a 10-minute walk) to the former thermal baths of Kalithea.
