The small, seaside village of Kritika lies at the northwest coast of the Greek island of Rhodes, about 3 km east of the capital city.
Kritika is a small, traditional Greek village located just at the coast of the island, between the modern hotel resort of Ixia and the capital city of Rhodes. Often, the village of Kritika is already considered a suburb of the capital city of Rhodes and is therefore sometimes not even classified as a separate Rhodian tourist resort.
The main road from Rhodes Town passes through the village, leading further south along the western coast of Rhodes. The village of Kritika actually forms a strip of development around this road.
Despite its proximity to the capitl city, Kritika is still a quiet village of less than 200 inhabitants who are engaged in traditional crafts and tourism. In addition to the small family houses of the local inhabitants, the village also consists of several cafés and taverns and several small accommodation facilities for tourists have sprung up here as well. There is one larger hotel in the southern part of the resort, otherwise it is more of smaller villas or individual apartments.
Kritika Beach is adjacent to the resort. Kritika Beach is long, mostly left purely natural and public, covered with a mixture of sand and pebbles. An organized section of the beach with sunbeds and umbrellas is located in the southern part of the beach in front of the local hotel.
