The quiet, unorganized sandy beach of Pori is located on the northeast coast of the Greek island of Santorini, about 6 km north of the capital Fira.
This small and beautiful beach is not very well known and is mainly preferred by local families. Pori beach is located near Columbo bay and is territorially part of the village of Imerovigli, a peaceful area with vineyards, windmills and small taverns.
Pori beach is sandy, surrounded by reddish cliffs. It is unorganised, without sunbeds and umbrellas, but it offers its visitors peace and privacy. We recommend it especially to lovers of water and swimming, because the sea here is crystal clear. The seabed is made up of pebbles. A small harbour with fishing boats and a number of windmills on the hillside above the beach add to the atmosphere of the place.
The beach can be reached by car or motorbike, which you leave parked on top of the beach, and then descend the stairs leading to the shore. There is also a small traditional tavern (Captain Gianni's Tavern) above the beach, where they cook delicious dishes of fresh fish and other typical Greek dishes.
Pori beach is thus suitable for those who want to avoid crowded beaches and are looking for the beauty of nature and moments of relaxation.
