Vourvoulos beach - Santorini island
The small and quiet beach of Vourvoulos is located on the north-eastern coast of the Greek island of Santorini, about 6 km from the main town of Fira.
Vourvoulos is a pleasant beach with grey sand and pebbles. It is one of the quieter beaches, not too touristy, ideal for relaxing, swimming in the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea and sunbathing undisturbed. However, if the wind blows stronger, be careful when swimming in the sea, there are big waves.
Near the beach there is a small harbour and a tavern serving freshly caught fish. Although the beach is smaller, it provides pleasant facilities for tourists in the form of sunbeds with umbrellas, showers and toilets.
During your stay in this area you can also visit the nearby village of Karterados with its beautiful Greek buildings.
