The smaller and very narrow Ammoudi (or Amoudi) beach is covered with beautifully fine sand, which continues along the seabed. The entrance to the sea is very gradual and the Ionian Sea shines azure blue. Ammoudi beach has been awarded the EU Blue Flag several times for its cleanliness, water quality and tourist facilities. Amoudi is one of the quiet beaches and is not crowded with tourists, it is popular with families with smaller children or tourists looking for peace and relaxation.

Ammoudi beach is located in a quiet part of Zakynthos and is adjacent to the tourist resort of the same name, Amoudi, a smaller resort with several excellent tavernas, shops and smaller accommodation facilities. A large number of the rental villas can be found close to the sea, as well as local tavernas. Some tavernas specialise in traditional Greek cuisine, others offer more international cuisine and there is also a fish taverna. Sun loungers and parasols can also be rented on the beach, some of which have to be placed on raised piers or in gardens, as the sea reaches the tavernas themselves in some parts of the beach.

Ammoudi beach is located in an area of rather smaller and quieter beaches, southwards it connects to the pleasant sandy beach of Psarou with its marina, then there is, for example, the smaller, mostly pebble beach of Drosia or the narrow sandy beach of Amboula. On the other hand, north of Ammoudi beach are the larger and busier Alykanas and Alykes beaches.
