Gaidaros Beach is a small and quiet beach, which is especially popular among the locals of the island.The word "Gaidaros" means "donkey" in Greek, as donkeys used to be abundant here. The beach is therefore sometimes called "Donkey Beach".

Gaidaros is a mostly sandy beach, in some places rather sandy and pebbly, with a gradual entrance to the sea and crystal clear water. The beach is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, and visitors can also use the beach volleyball court. The shrubs and trees near the beach also provide pleasant shade. The shallow water and the quiet shade attract families with small children.

Above the beach is the eponymous Gaidaros Tavern, whose service is very positively rated by customers. Here you can enjoy a cold beer and lemonade, a small snack of a local Greek speciality, while listening to the sound of the sea and watching the boats in the nearby small harbour.

Gaidaros beach is located in a small bay along with several other beaches, and not far from it is, for example, the small, quiet and pleasant Bouka beach. The location of Gaidaros beach belongs to the nearby holiday resort of Tsilivi (Planos), which is very popular with tourists, bustling and has excellent facilities. Gaidaros beach can thus serve as a peaceful and uncrowded option to the largest local beaches of Tsilivi and Planos. These busy beaches are separated from the bay with smaller beaches, including Gaidaros beach, by a small hill.
