Akrotiri Tourist Resort

The traditional village of Akrotiri is built on a gentle slope right on the coast of the island and offers beautiful views of the Ionian Sea that bathes the island of Zakynthos. The individual villas and apartments are scattered on the hillside among olive trees and other greenery, there are also several tavernas open and the village has a very peaceful and welcoming overall impression.

Akrotiri is located just 3 km from the capital of Zakynthos, making it an excellent location for those who would like to get a closer look at the capital of Zante with its beautiful sights, culture and entertainment and shops, but want to stay in a quieter area. From Akrotiri it is quite easy to walk to Zante along the road that runs just past the coast (less than 2 km).

The coastline around Akrotiri is very rocky and you won't find any manicured beaches. For swimming and relaxing on the beach we can recommend the beautiful and spacious sandy beach of Tsilivi with beach service and water sports facilities, which is about 3 km from Akrotiri.

We would recommend Akrotiri to those who prefer to stay in apartments and villas, in the quiet surroundings of the gardens and surrounding greenery, but at the same time want to be within easy reach of larger resorts and organized beaches.
