The small and quiet seaside resort of Drosia lies off the east coast of the Greek island of Zakynthos, about 12 km northwest of the main town of Zakynthos.
Drosia is a small village off the east coast of Zakynthos, located in a quiet area away from the busy tourist resorts of the island. Other smaller resorts such as Psarou and Amoudi are nearby, while the livelier holiday resorts of Tsilivi and Alykanas/Alykes are about 5 km away.
The resort of Drosia is made up of rather smaller developments, with a few nice hotels by the beach, but most of the accommodation here consists of individual villas, studios or bungalows. In particular, there are several tavernas near the beach offering traditional Greek cuisine, often with dishes made from fresh sea catch. Overall, the resort of Drosia gives a very peaceful and pleasant impression.
The resort is adjacent to the eponymous beach Drosia, or rather a coastline of several smaller beaches and small coves. The coastline around the resort is mostly pebbly to rocky with crystal clear sea, sometimes you can find places with fine golden sand. Drosia beach is semi-organised, with a few sunbeds and umbrellas and excellent Greek tavernas. Drosia is a quiet beach giving visitors more privacy.
Due to the peaceful nature of the resort and the adjacent beach, we would recommend a stay in Drosia to tourists who want to relax during their vacation, especially from the noise and stress of their daily work life. The smaller accommodations offer plenty of privacy and quiet to relax, while the coastline offers a beautiful view of the sea in the distance. The sea at Drosia is azure clear and suitable for snorkelling.
