The small mountain village of Korithi is situated in the northern tip of the Greek island of Zakynthos, about 33 km northwest of the capital Zante. Near the village there is the old stone lighthouse Skinari and the famous Zakynthos Blue Caves.

The small village of Korithi is set in a verdant mountain landscape, with stunning views of the blue distances of the Ionian Sea that surround the Greek island of Zakynthos. The village can be found in the northern part of the island, not far from the coast. Korithi is a small resort with less than 100 permanent residents, known especially for its rich flora and fauna. There are also rare species of plants typical of Zakynthos.

Korithi is an ideal starting point for exploring the beauty of the northern part of Zakynthos. It has smaller accommodation, mainly smaller villas with the possibility of renting individual apartments and studios. About 2 km south of Korithi is the famous resort of Agios Nikolaos, from which ships and boats sail to various destinations and many boat trips are organised.

Off the northern coast of Zakynthos are the so-called Blue Caves, a beautiful natural phenomenon of light limestone rocks and luminous turquoise sea. The most famous and beautiful blue caves lie between the port of Agios Nikolaos and Cape Skinari (the northernmost tip of the island) and are only accessible by sea. The only blue caves accessible from the mainland can be found at Cape Skinari, under the old windmills, from which steps lead down to the coast. The northern cape with the old stone Skinari lighthouse (dating from 1897), which has been declared a protected monument, lies about 3 km north of Korithi.

Ships leaving from the port of Agios Nikolaos also head for Navagio Bay, which is also known as Shipwreck Bay and has become one of the most distinctive symbols of Zakynthos. In the middle of Navagio beach lies the wreck of an old smuggling ship in the sand, to which the legend of its wreck is attached. The beach is only accessible from the sea, but Navagio Bay can also be viewed from above the high cliffs - the viewpoint is located about 13 km southwest of the resort of Korithi.
