Mikro Nisi - Zakynthos island
The tiny seaside resort of Mikro Nisi is located in the northeastern part of the Greek island of Zakynthos, about 27 km northwest of the capital Zante. The resort also has a small boat dock.
The name of the village Mikro Nisi means "little island" and it is situated on a small promontory jutting out into the Ionian Sea, in the northern part of Zakynthos. Mikro Nisi is a tiny seaside resort with a few houses of locals, there are also villas and studios for rent, a supermarket and a tasty fish taverna. All this pleasantly nestled amongst trees and bushes that provide at least a little shade.
The sea is clear blue around the rocky promontory with Mikro Nisi and drops off quite quickly in depth. From the top of the resort, small steps lead down to the shoreline, leading visitors to the anchorage and boat rental. For relaxation, we recommend the small pebble beach Mikro Nisi, while more adventurous swimmers can also have fun jumping into the sea from the rocks. There is also an excellent restaurant by the shore serving seafood and a wonderful view of the small bay.
Mikro Nisi is located on the northeast coast of Zakynthos, about 5 km south of the famous port resort of Agios Nikolaos. Not far from Mikro Nisi (less than a kilometre to the south) lies the popular pebble beach of Makris Gialos.
