The tradition of wine production in this winery dates back to 1918 and has been going on for more than a hundred years.The winery's history was only interrupted in 1953 by a devastating earthquake. Soon after, however, the tradition of wine production was taken over by a new generation of winemaking families and the winery continues to operate and prosper today.

The owners take pride in the fact that the grapes used to make the wine here come exclusively from Zakynthos farmers. Callinico wines can be found in selected hotels and restaurants not only on Zakynthos, but are also exported to other Greek islands.

The Callinico winery is located in the small village of Kalipado, near the popular resort of Tsilivi. It lies about 7 km west of the capital Zante.

When you visit the family-run Callinico, the owners will be happy to show you around the winery, you can see the period and contemporary tools used to make wine and the cellars with stored barrels. And of course, at the end of the tour, you will have a wine tasting! You can also buy the wines presented here directly from the producer.
